Last month, I went down to Melbourne to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Apparently it's only the third city in the world to get the play, after London and New York. So a couple of weekends ago, I went to Supanova in Sydney. It was a whirlwind of a day, catching up with friends and checking out panels and browsing the stalls.

I think we lucked out in this timezone - a 9 AM local release for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows means being able to wake up refreshed and spend the whole day reading, which basically sums up my yesterday.

I thought about posting something last night, after I finished, but my head was still too full.

Before it was released, I wasn't as psyched about this movie as I could have been, considering that Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is my favourite HP book. I suspect that the relatively lacklustre second movie had something to do with it. Fortunately, the third movie is both very watchable and a pretty good adaptation of the book.
